San Francisco Wedding Photographer | Engagement Photos of Michelle and Matt
We are back with some fresh engagement photos on the blog! We are featuring two very familiar faces today. We say familiar is because, Michelle happens to be a previous bride’s sister, while Matt is also a previous groom’s brother! We have filmed their siblings weddings a couple of years back and now it is their turn. Our team’s great customer service and of course best work really can go a long way. Imagine being remembered for about 7 years now. Hey, you know someday, we could be our previous clients’ san francisco wedding photographer and san francisco videographer at the same time. Fusion!!!
When Michelle and Matt reached out to us to be their San Francisco Wedding Photographer and Videographer, we got really excited due to the fact that we might be seeing a couple of familiar faces at the wedding, and at the same time knew that it would be a breeze to work with these two, since they were familiar with us already.
We started our engagement session at the big basin national park in san jose. We saw so many engagement session photos shot here. So we decided to give it a try on our own twist of storytelling.
To show you how we incorporated some of their love story thru this engagement photos, we asked them a couple of love story questions :
1. What do you guys love doing together?
We love doing almost anything together. We’re normally homebodies that catch up on all our recorded tv shows and watch movies. We love to cook and eat dinner together. Though we may not do a lot of wild, crazy, or spontaneous things as often as we like, it doesn’t mean we can’t love all the time we share with each other.
We absolutely love going on trips together, even if it’s just a weekend getaway. We’ve traveled to Japan, Mexico(twice), New York, L.A., Washington D.C., North Carolina, Hawaii, Vegas, Tahoe, etc. There are still many places we still want to go, but every trip together is amazing because we’re with each other. We explore the cities, try new foods, relax on the beach, and just have fun!
2. Tell us about your story?
Our story, like many others, first started as friends back in high school. When we met, I was the girlfriend of one of his friends and in a surprising twist of fate he also became close friends with my sister, Mika. But this isn’t a high school sweetheart story, we were were friends during high school and nothing more until our college years.
Although we went to different colleges, our friendship developed into something else. It seemed more of circumstance than fate at first. Mika was living in Florida at the time and I planned to visit her one summer, as did Matt and his best friend Matt P(who was also close friends with Mika too). So me, Matt, and Matt P went to visit Mika to see Florida and go to Disneyworld. A few days into the trip, a drunken night led to me kissing Matt (but more like, he went 90% and I went the last 10% if it were my opinion, haha). From that moment on, his eyes were on me. We started a semi-long distance relationship since I went to college in Santa Cruz at the time. As any relationship there were bumps in the road, but we came out on top. Almost 7 years later, he proposes to me in front of all our close friends in Lake Tahoe. 🙂
3. Things you look forward to?
We look forward to our wedding, to celebrate with all our family and friends. And we also look forward to having a little family of our own to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and vacations together!
